What Is Going On This Weekend In Chattanooga

Happy Thanksgiving! Our team of nine has a lot to be thankful for this year!  This year, most of us are in town for Thanksgiving and we are excited by the long weekend’s offerings of fun in Chattanooga. Here are your best bets!

Train Ride Through the Cherokee National Forest

The leaves are in prime glory right now and this is most likely the last weekend they are on the trees. There is no better way to enjoy them (and get out of your house) than by train. Friday and Saturday  you can take the Copperhill Special Trip, an  8-hour excursion which begins in  Etowah, TN and runs through the Cherokee National Forest and lower Hiwassee River Gorge, over the Bald Mountain Loop, and on to the joint cities of Copperhill, TN and McCaysville, GA. Passengers will have a 90-minute layover in the Town of Copperhill during which they can enjoy lunch and explore the town. Tickets are available online.  Train leaves at 9:30 and returns around 6:15. Tickets range in price.  727 Tennessee Ave South Etowah, TN

Christmas Lights!

Ok… the Christmas music started Monday in the office, full bore and while we personally don’t love it 24/7 we do love Christmas lights.  Saturday, you can start enjoying them en mass! Starting this  Friday  and continuing through December you can drive through and look at the beautiful lights in Evensville.  Santa will be visiting each Saturday  with prime photo opportunities.  There will be concessions available on Saturdays only through December 21. Wagon Rides on Saturdays (Weather Permitting). 6pm-10pm. $5 per car. Friday nights are drive through only. 290 Harold Robbins Lane

Gingerbread Workshop

If you have little people who have been very well behaved over the holiday weekend while everyone exclaimed over them, reward them with a trip to the Creative Discovery Museum where they can kick off the holiday and create a gingerbread house. The Museum provides the hot chocolate, cookies, pre-built houses, icing, and candy, and festive music. Forget the cleanup. We will take care of that part, too! MEMBERS! Get $25 off your reservation with the discount code MEMBERS-ROCK! (This offer is good for current members only.) Reservations are required in advance, times and registration online.  $30 for members; $55 for non-members. 321 Chestnut Street
