What Is Going On This Weekend In Chattanooga

Oh, hello! We had at least two seasons of weather this week. Sunday and Monday were late spring with highs in the high 60’s and 70’s.  Tuesday through Thursday felt more like early spring with warm temperatures, but lots of rain. And today, it snowed. Welcome to Tennessee where winter is usually just a few days long. We will return to sunny tomorrow, so have no fear, Puxatawny Phil was right, spring is on the way. This weekend, there is plenty to do indoors and out. Here are your best bets for fun this weekend in Chattanooga.

Tennessee Songwriters Week Qualifying Rounds

Tennessee Songwriter’s Week hosted by Tennessee Vacation is coming up February 23-29. Events are held here and across the state. Oscars Watch Party

Oscars, you either love them, or you don’t care. Me, I love them and apparently, so do many others in Chattanooga. If you want to get a little dolled up and hang with other movie and fashion lovers (because who are we kidding, it is all about the fashion), head to The Moxy Hotel for a viewing of the 92nd Academy Awards.  You can enjoy mini bottles of La Marca prosecco for $9.20 (in honor of year 92) along with their other all day Liquid Brunch specials. They are encouraging everyone to get dressed to impress, ie in formal fashion or rock that bridesmaid/ prom dress/ tuxedo you love that is just taking up real estate your closet and  strut their  stuff down the red carpet. Screening will begin at 6:30 and is free! Sunday, The Moxy 1220 King Street.
