What Is Going On This Weekend In Chattanooga

It looks like we have a typical summer weekend ahead of us. Hot, a few storms and plenty of fun. If you are a soccer fan, this weekend is the CFC  are in the soccer conference playoffs this weekend. Love to dance? the Southside Social has a dance party.  Foodies will love the FiveStar Food Fight at the Chattanooga Market on Sunday. There are so many fun and educational things going on in Chattanooga. Here are your best bets.

 

 

Little Shop of Horrors

One of the best and creative Broadway hits, Little Shop of Horror brings sci-fi and do-wop together to create a wonderful show and the Chattanooga Theater Centre promises an excellent run.  How could you not love a show with a blood sucking plant, a demented dentist and a love struck shop keeper? The show premiers tonight and continues through August 4th. Tickets available online and at the box office. $12-30 PG 13 8 pm Friday. 400 River Street

 

Rocketman

The wonderful family of Bobby Stone have continued to honor their beloved family member and grace Chattanooga with an excellent way to celebrate his memory. The Bobby Stone film festival continues to bring old beloved films and new releases to the grand Tivoli Theater for limited one day runs. This Saturday, enjoy the Elton John bio-pic Rocketman. There are two show times for this fantastical film highlighting the beginnings of one of the top musicians of all time. Tickets are $10 for kids, $12 for adults. Showtimes are 3 and 7pm.

Downtown Nights

Ringgold is just a hop, skip and a jump down the road from Chattanooga and we love the quaint town.  Saturday, you can enjoy local vendors, live music, a car show and join in a corn hole tournament. This is a family friendly event held at the Ringgold Depot Opry and is free to attend. 5-9pm. Register here for corn hole tournament.  155 Depot Street.

Sunset Paddle

We love being on the water as much as possible in the summer. In Chattanooga, we have so many options for awesome water access and there are few days when you will see an empty body of water.  Sunday, you can paddle off into the sunset on the Tennessee River  on a SUP and experience the beauty that is the Tennesse valley. All equipment is included including board and PFD on this event hosted by Rock/Creek. Tickets must be purchased online.  6:30-9:30 pm More info online.
