What Is Going On This Weekend In Chattanooga

Chattanooga will have a soggy weekend as we get some much needed rain. Have no fear, however, there will still be many options for fun including plenty of things to keep your stir crazy kids happy. With this weekend being the Halloween weekend, there are parties and fun all around town for all ages.  Here are your best bets for fun this weekend in Chattanooga.

 

 

AquaScarium

The Tennessee Aquarium does family friendly right! Tonight, you and your favorite little costumed characters can dress up and celebrate a family-friendly evening of spooky critters and aquatic creatures including mermaids and  pirates. Kids can Trick-or-Treat at candy stations in both Aquarium buildings, catch a dance party with aquarium mascots and enjoy the scuba show. Nick Lutsko Album Release Party

Part album release, part masquerade party, all fun is what Nick Lutsko‘s album release party at The Signal promises to be tonight. In addition to being a masquerade party with lots of visual aspects and special guests, the show is also the official release event for “Swords,” the new album Lutsko recorded with his band, The Gimmix. After two opening bands, Narcoleptic Birds and The Fridge, the main attraction will include the UTC Marching Brass, Chattahooligans and more. Nick Lutsko has recently created a song for the Breaking Bad movie, El Camino. Friday Doors open at 6:30 show starts at 8pm. Rules for costumes here. Jasper Jack-O-Lantern Jamboree

If the rain finishes early, you can head to Jasper for some good old fashioned fun. The Jasper Jack-O-Lantern Jamboree is a  huge block party in the town square that includes trunk-or-treating, live music, magicians, carnival games, delicious  food and fireworks. Everyone is encouraged to dress up. 4-7 pm Free. Town Square, Jasper Tennessee

IMAX 3D 

There is nothing better on a rainy day than a movie. I love entering into a cozy theater and whiling away a few hours being entertained. Saturday, you can catch the 3D  IMAX shows Superpower Dogs, Great Barrier Reef or Volcanoes, each one promising to entertain and enthrall you. Tickets can be purchased ahead of time online or at the box office. Show times start at 12 and continue on the hour until the last show at 7. You can make a day out of the Tennessee Aquarium and the IMAX with special combination tickets as well.  $10-45 One Broad Street
