Summer is here in the Scenic City and come Memorial Day weekend, pools will be opening across Chattanooga and North Georgia. Located in the Warner Park athletic complex, which is also home to the zoo, ball fields, tennis courts and more, this Warner Park Pool is an olympic sized community pool. Featuring a spray park that has been open for about 5 years, this is a great family pool, which offers discounts for certain hours, combination packages and more. Set in the middle of one of the oldest in use golf courses in the United States, the Chattanooga Golf and Country Club, this newly renovated pool is truly a beauty. Featuring an adult oasis pool and a family pool, slide, diving board and ample pool deck with snack bar access, this is the ultimate summer spot. Social memberships are available. Featuring a retractable dome for year round swimming, the Ooltewah swim center is one of the most popular pools in town. Offering summer memberships of $262 for a family, it is also one of the most affordable. 6849 Mountain View Road.
From Memorial Day to Labor Day, The Lookout Mountain Club pool offers one of the best views in Chattanooga. This pool is surrounded by natural stone and is located on the bluff. a perfect one. Lookout Mountain Club and the Fairyland Club merged last year offering more amenities and benefits. Membership can be found online.
The Ridgeside community pool is a brand new pool that was finished this spring on the footprint of the pool that has been there for decades. Located in the heart of Ridgeside also known as Shepherd Hills, this pool is literally hidden from view unless you know where to look. The new pool features cabanas, a sun shelf and of course, the requisite snack bar. Memberships are $310 for residents, $700 for non-residents. Info can be found here.
Thought by some as East Brainerd’s best pool, the Mountain Shadows pool is located in the heart of the Mountain Shadows neighborhood and offers memberships to residents as well as outside pool membership. The pool is has a baby pool and deep section , club house, basketball and tennis courts. There are ample lounge chairs and tables as well as two large grills available for grilling. The Town Pool is located at the Town Hall Complex, in the heart of Signal Mountain. Memberships can be purchased for $200 for Signal Mountain residents and $300 for non-residents. The pool is a 500,000 Olympic-size outdoor pool with a separate baby pool. 1111 Ridgeway Avenue.
The Martha Denton Swimming Pool, located in Ringgold is open Memorial Day through Labor day and features day swimming, events, lesson and a swim team. Family memberships are $150 with day passes for $3. 406 Cotter Street Chattanooga, TN 37415
One of the iconic pools of Chattanooga, located in the Stuart Heights neighborhood, this pool caters to generations of local Chattanooga families. Located in the the heart of the Hidden Harbor neighborhood, in Hixson, the swimming pool is the summertime social hub of the neighborhood. Whether you’re swimming laps for the next iron man, playing Marco Polo with the kids, or letting the little one splash in the baby pool, there’s truly something for everyone.
